Continue moving down the shore. You should now arrive where you first greeted the water. Find your footing in the same spot.
RIPPLING
Do you still have the stone that you picked up from this site?
Hold it to your mouth
Lower your arm.
Skip, or throw the stone into the water.
Think of how the waves that expand outwards from the place of impact are perfect circles, sweeping fluidly all at once. Your goal with this final movement phrase is to trace a circle, so rapidly, that it appears as a seamless streak.
Your audience, of trees, of water, of sky, will be generous with you here, as their perception of time exists on a wholly different frequency as your own.
Begin spinning in place, with arms outstretched. You’ll want to relax your vision, so that the trees, the water, the sky, and your body, all lose their borders.
As you twirl, think of how the ripples you’ve just created are extending outwards, overlapping and influencing the ripples created by other stones, other people, other impacts.
Slow your spinning, and come to a pause, allowing your vision to refocus.
The strict borders that once differentiated you from the surroundings will begin to return now.
Remember how, for a moment, you were able to make them liquid.
