On Site :

Before beginning, you’ll select a space to perform the work.

The only requirement for this site is that you are able to get close to a small body of water, ideally a pond or lake. The shoreline of this body will become the staging area for Reflection Score, and to perform the piece you will follow it’s edge until you arrive where you began. Consider this when selecting a site, because the size of the body of water will ultimately determine the duration of the piece.

You are free to approach this directive with solutions that exercise your imagination. If there is a site you have in mind but can’t reach physically, conjuring it is a more than acceptable adaptation.

Other Considerations:

-What does this water hold and reflect? Does it offer itself to you in all transparency, with the clarity of glass; of a spring? Are you compelled by it’s murkiness? Has it been made cloudy from recent rain, or tannins, or mud?
-Is the water healthy? Has runoff, pollution, or stagnated water flow impacted this ecosystem?
-What relations do you already hold with this specific point on the planet. Have you or your ancestors visited it before?
